The other week my friend ceramicist Alana Wilson and I experimented by the seaside with 35mm film. It was a considered yet somewhat spontaneous, ‘exploration of texture, distortion and filmic abstraction.’
It’s a celebration of light, water, texture, time and place; the interaction between these natural elements and man-made objects and the magical things that happen when they are mixed. I love the special moments that we weren’t striving for like sparkles, rosy light leaks and a man in his green flippers.
